OPEN TO WORKMay 2026

Hi, I'm
Ryan Polasky.

A junior software engineer who finds the unglamorous problems and makes them quiet, fast, and reliable. Backend systems, AI/LLM tooling, and a lo-fi music habit on the side.

About the artist.

recorded · 2003 → present

I'm a fourth-year Computer Science student at UT Dallas, graduating in May 2026. I specialise in solving the unglamorous problems that make engineering teams 10× faster - intelligent log analysis, bulletproof CI/CD pipelines, test automation that actually works, and AI-powered query generation that doesn't fall over the moment a user phrases a question oddly.

At Apple, I built LLM-powered tooling for the Camera and Photos team, automated the triage of thousands of test failures with smart categorization, and designed cloud workflows that ship fast without breaking anything. I balance velocity with reliability, security with usability, and prioritize crystal-clear communication.

Off the clock I produce lo-fi music as plasky (published since 2023), maintain a public knowledge base of my CS curriculum, and keep a closey eye on the things that go wrong in production at 3am - that's where the lessons live.

Five stops since 2021.
