I.About

Quietly building software that works, even when no-one's watching.

I'm a fourth-year Computer Science student at the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating in May 2026. I specialize in solving the unglamorous problems that make engineering teams ten times faster — intelligent log analysis, bulletproof CI/CD pipelines, test automation that actually works, and AI-powered query generation that doesn't fall over the moment a user phrases a question oddly.

At Apple, I built LLM-powered tooling for the Camera and Photos team, automated the triage of thousands of flaky test failures with smart categorization, and designed cloud workflows that ship fast without breaking anything. I balance velocity with reliability, security with usability, and prioritize crystal-clear communication. Half of engineering, in my view, is writing things down well.

Outside of work I produce lo-fi music as plasky (published since 2023), maintain a public knowledge base of my CS curriculum, and keep a weather eye on the things that go wrong in production at 3am — because that's where the real lessons live.

II.Experience

A short curriculum, told in five chapters.

III.Selected Work

Six things I've made.

iApple · InternalPython · FastAPI · Postgres · GCP

askdb. Talk to your database.

A Python package and a chat interface that turn natural-language questions into data-accurate answers — by quietly running the right parameterized SQL or NoSQL query and interpreting the result.

Nº I · Internal Q. askdb / v2.4
iiApple · QAPython · Jenkins · LLMs

An intelligent failure aggregator.

Classifies test failures, suggests probable root causes through multi-stage LLM analysis, and exports unified bug reports with the right artifacts attached. Triage, finally, that scales.

Nº II · Internal ai-test-analysis / v1.8
iiiPersonalReact · FastAPI · Framer Motion

Ryan OS. A desktop, on the web.

Answers the age-old question — what is Ryan up to? Draggable widgets, dynamic ambient backgrounds, fluid animations, and a single mobile-first layout that doesn't feel like a compromise.

Nº III · Personal ROS ryan-os / v3.0
ivPersonalNotion · LaTeX · Documentation

Notes. A digital garden for CS.

My entire CS curriculum from UTD, kept in public. Comprehensive documentation, LaTeX-formatted algorithms, study guides — organised in Notion, written for the next student.

vPersonalFL Studio · Lo-fi · Piano

plasky. Lo-fi, written slowly.

A hobbyist music project since 2021, focused on lo-fi composition. Published on major streaming platforms since 2023 — written by hand, mixed at midnight, released without a marketing plan.

viACM UTDTech Lead · Architecture · Full-Stack

MeteorMate. A better way to find a roommate.

As Project Lead I'm architecting a full-stack matching platform for UTD students while mentoring junior developers. Reliable, secure, and human — built to replace the impersonal forms students settle for.
